In general, Somalia is regarded as a corrupt and lawless place. Its residence are almost always in a state of unrest, with constant political struggles and thirst for freedom from the oppressive local government. In the last decade they have undergone many changes in government including total overhauls. The most recent overhaul was in August of 2012 where the country of Somalia decided on a federal Parliament as the national form of government. They swore in Hassan Sheik Mohamud as their president. Much of the counties unrest and problems can be attributed to the changes in government and lack of rigid structure in the area which also happens to be one of the worlds poorest countries.

The country of Somalia is located in the horn of Africa, just east of Ethiopia. It has a rather brief history in relation to the tribes that came before them. The first known appearence of the tribe began in 1500 B.C. when they seperated from a group of Persians, Cushitics, and Arabs to become an independant tribe. It prospered for many years because of its rich gold exports. They eventually developed currency and an established country with a military.
